Coastal International Security Officers Sue for Retention Bonus

Former Coastal International Security Officers Kenneth Callender and Ginger Starrett sued Coastal International Security, Inc. International Union Security Police & Fire Professionals of America, and Local 110 Security Police & Fire Professionals of America for failing to pay employees a retention bonus.  The lawsuit is Callende v. Coastal International Security, Inc, Case No. 5:10-cv-220-TBR and is pending in the Western Kentucky Federal District Court in Paducah, Kentucky.

The lawsuit is a class action in which Ken Callender and Ginger Starrett seek to represent all Security Officers who worked at Fort Campbell and Fort Knox, and who did not receive the retention bonus.  The lawsuit alleges that Coastal posted a promise of the retention bonus at Ft. Campbell and Ft. Knox, and then Coastal later illegally retracted the retention bonus.   The lawsuit includes claims for breach of contract, qauntam meriut, and violation of Kentucky wage laws.
